The Kincardine Theatre Guild began in 1982 when a small number of interested residents responded to a need in the community for live theatre. Since that time KTG has performed in a variety of venues settling at their present home in the Kincardine Centre for the Arts (the Old Town Hall) on Queen Street.KTG prides itself on its workshops. Professionals are hired to help us learn new and expand our skills and help newcomers to amateur theatre.
You don't have to be a resident of Kincardine to join, all are welcome. Previous experience is not necessary. There is a membership fee of $10 per year or $25 for family membership.
KTG is a wholly volunteer, non-profit, FUN, amateur theatre company run by an elected volunteer Board of Directors. It has progressed over the past 25 years to a level that is envied by professional and semi-professional theatres alike.
KTG is always looking for volunteers in all its departments. We always need Actors, Directors, Producers, Stage Management, Runners, Costumes(designers, seamstresses, dressers), Make-up, Hair, Lighting, Sound, Set(Design, Construction, Painting, Dressing), Props, Choreography, House Management, Ushers, Publicity, even ideas for Plays to do, so, if you ever wanted to be on stage, back stage, stage a play or just wanted to work in theatre, here is your chance. No experience! Don't let that stop you, we have members who have been having all this fun for 25+ years and are happy to pass on what they have learned.
KTG Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month in the Scougall Gallery at the Kincardine Centre for the Arts at 7 pm and ALL members are welcome to come and give ideas and suggestions for the continued success to the Guild, we value everyone's input!
